The hip and progressive nation of Iran has implemented a new text messaging service that allows people to narc on their neighbors for social crimes. If you play immoral music loud enough for your neighbor to hear it, you’re probably going to jail. And keep those headscarves on, ladies!
Doing anything that violates “approved” government behavior can now land you in an Iranian prison if your neighbor rats you out. Iran must have been jealous of America because we’ve had that exact same system of reporting people to the authorities for unapproved behavior for years now. It’s called Twitter!
In their latest salvo against the speech rights of conservative Americans, multiple Big Tech companies are now banning people for misbehaving on other websites. If you need any further proof that we are in an ideological war with Silicon Valley, this should convince you.
It used to be that if you committed a “thought crime” one social media platform – such as gently teasing an elected Democrat, posting a meme that offends a powerful cast member on Saturday Night Live or disagreeing with Bernie Sanders on tax policy – you would only be banned on that specific social media platform.
But now, if you say something bad on one social media platform, all of the others will ban you as well. Big Tech companies no longer view each other as competitors in the marketplace. They view you as their common enemy – and your opinions must be crushed and silenced if you violate their woke social justice orthodoxy. They can’t agree on which bathroom to use, but all of the Big Tech companies agree on one thing: You are a bad person.
Just ask James O’Keefe of Project Veritas. The latest undercover journalistic project from Project Veritas – a donor-funded non-profit organization – revealed that social media giant Pinterest has been silencing, shadow banning or just outright banning pro-life Christians. This is not surprising to anyone, but it’s embarrassing to the bigwigs at Pinterest to have their religious bigotry publicly exposed. The employee who leaked the internal documents from Pinterest was fired.
In response to the undercover video, Pinterest’s competitors at YouTube and Twitter sprang into action… to silence Project Veritas. Twitter locked Project Veritas out of its own account – for literally reporting factual information to people. YouTube is still censoring the Project Veritas video. A smart businessman would have immediately held a press conference to tell everyone, “Hey, come use our social media platform instead! We respect everyone’s views and we’re not like those bigots at Pinterest!”
But YouTube and Twitter don’t want your business if they disagree with you politically. They want you to shut up. That’s why they’re rushing to protect Pinterest from bad press.
The creepiest news about Big Tech this week is that Facebook, owned by Mark Zuckerberg, is already implementing the communist Chinese government’s “social credit score” system in America. If you say or do the wrong thing in China, you can now be banned from flying on an airplane, using public transportation or even shopping in certain stores.
According to internal documents that were leaked to Breitbart News, Facebook is doing the same thing here. Facebook is tracking everything that its users do – online AND OFFLINE – and assigning a “hate score” to them based on their behaviors, what they watch, what they listen to and who they talk to in the real world.
How is Facebook doing this? Most smartphones now come with the Facebook app pre-installed. Even if you have never logged in to Facebook on your phone – and even if you do not have a Facebook account – Facebook is tracking your movements and listening to your conversations. They’re also keeping track of who you associate with in real life – you know, in case you’re one of those underground haters.
If you walk past noted “hate figure” Alex Jones of InfoWars at the grocery store, it won’t affect your Facebook hate score. But if you spend several minutes in the proximity of Alex Jones on a regular basis, Facebook will conclude that you must be a “hate figure” as well – and therefore, you must be banned.
It’s time for conservatives to get really mad at these Silicon Valley tyrants – while we still have a political voice to do something about it. We need to urge our Senators and Representatives to regulate and break up the Big Tech companies before it’s too late.
If we wait much longer, none of us will be able to tell others about how truly awful, totalitarian and anti-freedom these bigoted companies really are.
