Iran is a dirty nation that fights with blackmail and threats to get what they want out of people. Somehow they got several nations to sign a treaty of which the president pulled out of in 2017. They have repeatedly threatened their neighbors and nations of Europe with attacks if they do not do what they want. But now it seems that they are going after individuals. The Iranian government puts a foreigner in prison and then asks them to be a spy for them or else they stay in prison.
Iran must be a desperate nation. They are looking for ways to gain intel into the secrets of their enemies. Kylie Moore-Gilbert is a person that lectures at Melbourne University on the subject of Islam. At some point in 2018, she was in Iran and arrested on charges of espionage. Of course, the whole story was made up by Iran, so they could justify holding her in prison, so they could get what they wanted out of her.
Right now, she is being held in the Evin prison. She is in a part of the prison that keeps her isolated from others. Of course, when she was arrested she had no idea why she was being detained. But the purpose would soon be made known as Iran would ask her to spy for them for her release from prison. Iran kept her so tightly locked up that she was not allowed to see people or even make phone calls.
The only way that people knew what was happening was because she was able to have letters smuggled out of prison. Her case manager received a letter that would refuse their offer. She would write “Please accept this letter as an official and definitive rejection of your offer to me to work with the intelligence branch of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.” This person is a hero for not succumbing to the pressures of evil. She would not compromise doing what is right for her freedom.
She would go on to write and say “I am not a spy. I have never been a spy and I have no interest to work for a spying organization in any country. When I leave Iran, I want to be a free woman and live a free life, not under the shadow of extortion and threats.” Her entire arrest is a shame which shows the low that Iran will go to get what they want out of people.
She was arrested while trying to leave the country after she was finished at an academic conference. Another person at the conference was working behind the scenes to make sure she was marked as a threat to Iran. At the airport, she was kidnaped and thrown into prison. The person that worked against her was interviewed by her for research that she was conducting.
Iran is a nation of lies. No one in the world can trust anything that their evil leaders can say. Their government is so corrupt that it trickles down to local establishments. To put a person in prison for the sole purpose of threatening them to become a spy is devious. But she would not rise to the challenge of Iran just for her freedom. Where they saw freedom, she would see bondage. There is no freedom in being a spy as they are told what to do and how to do it.
The choice to do what is right has its consequences. She has stated about herself “I think I am in the midst of a serious psychological problem.” Her health is taking a turn for the worse. To be in an Iranian prison is a death sentence. Iran is not compassionate to their prisoners.
Iran has a history of hold people on false charges. They lie, cheat and steal their way to power. Much like the Democrats do in the United States. The Democrats have placed an innocent man on trial for crimes that he has not done. Just like Iran had done with Kylie Moore-Gilbert.
