The Middle East has always been an area of the world that has had conflicts.
This week the nation of Iran has once again made it clear that it is unwilling to work with other nations around the world to make the region a safer place for people of every country.
Iran has once against threatened the United States and allies with attacks if they do not back off with trying to help people in the region stay safe from pending threats of war from Iran.
The President has ordered 1,500 troops to the Middle East as a means to secure the area.
Iran has made threats of attacks against U.S. locations and this is to deter any more threats from the nation Iran.
Most of the troops that are being sent are engineers that will setup and support Patriot missile batteries and help send our reconnaissance planes.
The Pentagon has provided evidence to a rising threat from Iran against American soldiers in the region.
President Trump has said that, “We want to have protection. The Middle East, we’re going to be sending a relatively small number of troops – mostly protective. Some very talented people are going to the Middle East right now, and we’ll see what happens.”
He has also stated that, “I don’t think Iran wants to fight and I certainly don’t think they want to fight with us.”
Iran has been bold with their statements this past week.
After the President made his statements the nation of Iran attacked four tankers in the United Arab Emirates.
Michael Gilday, who is a Rear Admiral with the United States Navy, stated, “the Iranians have said publicly they were going to do things. We learned through intelligence reporting they have acted upon those threats and they have actually attacked.”
President Trump has approved the sale of arms to allies in the region for defending themselves.
What the President has done is used a provision from the Arms Export Control Act that will, “eliminate the statutorily-required Congressional review of the sales of precision-guided munitions to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and others.”
Some Democrats have fired back stating that the President did not tell them the reason why he went this way.
To some the reason is obvious that there is a threat to the American people and this President is going to do something about it.
There are some leaders that believe the buildup of American troops could lead to a confrontation that is unintentional. Iran has taken the first steps towards war.
If that nation wants a war, then President Trump is the person to lead this fight.
He has proven over and over again that he will not sit by and let rogue nations threaten this country or its people or its allies.
Deterrence is the current focus of the administration.
The deployment of troops is a way of stopping Iran from any more actions in the region. Shanahan has stated, “in my capacity, the most difficult decision is authorizing a mission that I know puts the men and women of our Armed forces in harm’s way. I will continue to give those orders, but only when absolutely necessary.”
The United States needs more leaders that are willing to do what is necessary to protect the men and women that protect this nation and give the freedoms that many enjoy today.
It is a sad picture that many people want to complain about troops and military action being taken and fail to realize that the very freedoms they get to enjoy are only possible because of the men and women that have served this country and given their lives for their homeland.
President Trump and his administration have gone out on a limb to do what is necessary to protect this nation from foreign threats. He has given the military the support it needs to defend and protect and has even provided backup to protect those that are already deployed.
The American people and lawmakers that stand against the President need change their stand and start supporting a person that puts American first.
