Independent journalists Mike Cernovich and Chuck Johnson broke a big story in April of 2017 when they reported that the Obama administration had been spying on Sean Hannity. This was big news not only because it was proof that Obama had weaponized American intelligence agencies against his political opponents, but also because of the fact that Trump had been in the White House since January 20 of that same year.
If the allegations from Cernovich and Johnson were true, then Obama loyalists in the DOJ, FBI and other agencies were still targeting Obama’s enemies for him. At the time, Sean Hannity vowed that he would sue everyone involved if it turned out the allegations were true.
Spoiler alert: The allegations were 100% true.
A federal court in Washington, DC publicly released transcripts of all of the text messages sent between Sean Hannity and Paul Manafort – in 2017 and 2018. This is the first concrete proof we’ve had that all of our worst suspicions about “Russiagate” were true.
Obama was spying on his enemies, and he was using taxpayer dollars and federal entities which are supposed to be accountable to the people through Congress to do it. This is an unprecedented abuse of federal power in American history. It dwarfs the allegations against Richard Nixon in the Watergate scandal.
None of this should surprise anyone, of course. Barack Obama was forced to issue an embarrassing apology to Germany’s Angela Merkel in 2013 when it was discovered that he had been tapping her personal cell phone and office phones for three years.
The Obama administration was one of the most corrupt regimes in American history.
They sold guns to Mexican drug cartels in Operation Fast & Furious. They did this because they hoped Americans would be killed by those weapons, so they could undermine the Second Amendment. Why should it surprise us that an administration that is willing to kill its own citizens to prove a political point would spy on its enemies?
Lois Lerner’s division at the IRS was tasked with helping secure Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection – by denying nonprofit status to dozens, possibly hundreds, of legitimate 501c4 Tea Party and Christian conservative groups.
Obama exchanged emails with his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on her private, off-the-books, illegal home server. He knew that his Secretary of State was doing this to avoid public records requests for the Secretary of State’s emails. But he didn’t care.
We could go on and on with the list of Obama’s crimes against everyday Americans and the Constitution. The broader point is that Obama was not simply spying on the Trump campaign, the Trump family, the Trump transition team and the Trump administration. He was spying on anyone who was friends with or close to the Trump family. And it gets much worse than that if you’ve been paying attention.
Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA), along with Senators Rand Paul (R-KY) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) have all suggested that the Obama regime began spying on candidate Donald Trump as far back as December 2015. Why is this significant? Because the Russian collusion fairytale was only concocted in July of 2016 by the Trump-hating FBI lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
Nunes mentions the 2015 date because he is a patriot on the House Intelligence Committee, and he’s been trying to unravel the unlawful spying against the Trump campaign for years. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz have hinted at it… because they were running for president in December of 2015 also!
Here’s the real question:
How many of the Republican candidates in the 2016 election were being unlawfully spied upon by the Obama administration for political advantage?
They wouldn’t have been simply spying on candidate Trump at that point because they did not know at that point that Trump would be the nominee. Hillary could have ended up running against Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio or one of the many other Republicans running for the nomination.
The Russian collusion hoax wasn’t invented until after Donald Trump secured the nomination in 2016.
If the FBI was spying on Donald Trump in 2015, then they were spying on all of the Republican candidates. Well, probably not Jeb Bush!
