As the impeachment inquiry continues against President Trump and more and more information is revealed, it has become painstakingly apparent that the Democrats have lied about a few things in an effort to get rid of the president. And Trump has had enough.
On Sunday, he tweeted that both House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Representative Adam Schiff should be impeached themselves over their fraudulent handling of the whistleblower investigation.
He wrote, “Nancy Pelosi knew of all of the many Shifty Adam Schiff lies and massive frauds perpetrated upon Congress and the American people, in the form of a fraudulent speech knowingly delivered as a ruthless con, and the illegal meetings with a highly partisan ‘Whistleblower’ & lawyer.”
And he continued, “This makes Nervous Nancy every bit as guilty as Liddle’ Adam Schiff for High Crimes and Misdemeanors, and even Treason. I guess that means that they, along with all of those that evilly ‘Colluded’ with them, must all be immediately Impeached.”
So what exactly do we know about what these two have done?
Let’s start with Shifty Schiff.
He tweeted on August 28, “Trump is withholding vital military aid to Ukraine, while his personal lawyer seeks help from the Ukraine government to investigate his political opponent.”
This is basically the essence of the whistleblower’s complaint against President Trump and one that Schiff claims he had no previous knowledge of prior to when it was released in September.
Furthermore, he told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on September 17, “We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower. We would like to.”
And yet both the Washington Post and the New York Times have reported that the whistleblower was in direct contact with one of Schiff’s staff members immediately before the complaint was filed in August. It is also a known fact that his office advised the whistleblower to file the complaint officially and to seek legal counsel in a former Clinton and Obama supporter.
Similarly, Speaker Pelosi also claims that she knew nothing of the Ukraine phone call or the complaint prior to them being released on September 25. However, she told CBS News’ 60 minutes last week that knew the contents of the transcript before they were made public.
According to her, President Trump called her four days before it was released, to speak about it. Pelosi said, “He told me it was perfect. There was nothing in the call.” But she continued, “But I know what was in the call. I mean, it was in the public domain.”
Only it wasn’t yet.
Her spokeswoman told Fox News later that what she had meant was that the media had covered it. But she didn’t know anything. Schiff’s late August tweet only proves the collusion between the two and that they both knew of what was going on.
How else do you explain Schiff’s parody of the phone call transcript late last month in his opening statement to the Intelligence Committee hearing?
And Pelosi isn’t helping either of their cases by continually singing Schiff’s praises and saying that the Schiff used “the president’s own words” against him. But we all know that what Schiff actually said was not a reading of what Trump said, but “an interpretation of (his) words,” according to ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, who interviewed Pelosi about the situation.
Stephanopoulos corrected Pelosi, saying, “Those weren’t the president’s words. They were an interpretation of the president’s words. They’re saying (Schiff) made this up.” To which she defensively replied, “He did not make it up.”
If anything is clear as of this point, it is that Pelosi and Schiff are in cahoots on this issue and doing everything they can to make Trump look bad.
Now, neither Schiff or Pelosi can actually be “impeached” from there positions. However, they can be removed from office by their counterparts with a 2/3 vote. Over the course of history, the House has only expelled five members and the Senate, 15. We can only hope that both the American public and the other members of the House see through these lies and conspiracy attempts and, therefore, decide to rid our government of their polluting influence.
