The House of Representatives is on a rampage on the Democratic Side.
More and more people are being pulled into their chamber for possible investigations over a wide variety of issues.
They could not pin anything on President Trump so now they are focusing of others that have been just doing their job.
The House is deciding whether to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt for not complying with the House’s demands to testify.
This act by the House Judiciary Committee is set to take place this week.
They are trying to pass a motion that would hold William Barr in contempt of Congress for not showing up when a subpoena was issued for him to appear.
This really is nothing more than an attempt by the House to gain access to documents that they should not be privy to in the first place.
The Democrats will stop at nothing to seize control of whatever power they think they deserve.
They were frustrated in 2016 when they lost the Oval Office and have been trying for several years to discredit the man that beat them; hoping that they can win in 2020.
Now they are frustrated over the way William Barr apparently handled the Mueller report, and they way that he described the first findings over Russia’s part in the collusion scandal.
The President has become out of reach so now they are seeking to take out their anger on some other person.
If the Democratic House was truly concerned for the people of this nation, then they would be pressing for something to be done about Russia.
They want to have full access to the full report and all the evidence that was collected when Mueller did his investigation.
Their purpose is quoted as being able, “to determine how to best move forward with oversight, legislation, and other constitutional responsibilities.
This was stated by Nadler was the deadline to turn over the evidence and report was missed by the Justice Department.
They way to move forward is to stop seeking the innocent and go after the one’s truly responsible for allowing Russia to act as they did.
It is not like the Justice is playing hardball at this point though.
They have offered to allow some House leaders to come and look at an unredacted version of the report on premises.
But that is not good enough for House leaders.
They want all the report and evidence or nothing and on their terms.
The offer was dismissed as the House demanded back the entire committee be given full access.
The White House has not been silent on the issue.
The White House had informed counsel Don McGahn to not pay any attention the issued subpoena to hand over documents.
Time will tell if he still plans on appearing before the House Committee and testifying.
The House has two ways to proceed.
They can approve the measure to hold Barr in contempt of the subpoena.
This move would require then to have a vote on the matter in the House. Or, they can go after Barr using the civil courts.
The second course of action could end up in court for years to come long after it would make any difference.
The President is expected to get involved if the matter continues to escalate.
Of course the House would escalate the issue as stated by the Justice Department, “Unfortunately, the Committee has responded to our accommodation efforts by escalating its unreasonable demands and scheduling a committee vote to recommend that the Attorney General be held in contempt of Congress.”
This is coming from a group of people that once held Attorney General William Barr in high esteem.
He has been one that has proven to be impartial and fair in his dealings with both Republicans and Democrats alike.
This just is another example of if the Democrats do not get what they want out of a person, then they will do anything to either get their agenda done or cause a great deal of harm to the citizens of this country.
The United States of America is blessed to have a government with a checks and balance system in place. The President is expected to intervene to keep things from going to far.
